Journalist and colleague Mohammed Fayeq was seriously injured after an artillery attack targeted the vicinity of Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, resulting in hemiplegia that threatens to turn into complete paralysis if he is not urgently transferred to receive appropriate treatment abroad. This is not the first injury, but rather the third that Mohammed has suffered while carrying out his journalistic duty in covering the situation on the ground in Gaza, remaining a living witness to the great risks that journalists are exposed to during their work. We appeal to the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and international journalistic organizations to intervene quickly and ensure his life is saved through medical evacuation.
