A short while ago, one of the masters of this land, one of its unique heroes, the beloved martyr Bilal al-Hatoum, was martyred. He joined his two martyr brothers, Ahmed and Bilal, may God accept them all. Bilal fought from dawn on the day of the flood until noon today, not leaving his frontier in the Jabalia camp for an hour, until God decreed at his hands the courage, goodness, and heroism He decreed. Bilal was a master among his companions, a beacon among people, despite his few words and great deeds, as if he came from a time different from ours. It is dear to us to mourn you, Abu Muslimah. استشهد قبل قليل سيد من سادات هذه الأرض،
وبطل من أبطالها الأفذاذ، الشهيد الحبيب/ بلال الحاطوم،
ملتحقاً بأخويه الشهيدين أحمد وبلال تقبلهم الله جميعاً.
قاتل بلال منذ فجر يوم الطوفان وحتى ظهيرة
هذا اليوم، ما غادر فيها ثغره في معسكر جباليا ساعة،
حتى كتب الله على يديه ما كتب من بأس وخير وبطولة.
كان بلال سيداً بين أصحابه، شامة بين الناس،
على قلّة كلامه وعظيم فعله، وكأنه جاء
من زمان غير زماننا.
عزيز علينا أن نرثيك والله يا أبا مسلمة
تقبلك الله يا حبيبنا .
