#Urgent: The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated the commander of Hamas's Shujaiya Battalion. Yesterday, the IDF and Shin Bet raided a command and control compound in Gaza City, approximately one kilometer from IDF forces operating in the area. A number of Hamas terrorists were operating inside the compound, planning and executing terrorist attacks targeting Israeli citizens and IDF forces. During the raid, the terrorist identified as Haitham Rizq Abd al-Karim al-Sheikh Khalil, commander of the Hamas Shujaiya Battalion, was eliminated. He participated in, oversaw, and crossed the border during the bloody massacre of the residents of Nahal Oz on October 7. During the war, he was responsible for promoting and executing terrorist attacks against IDF forces, including planting explosive devices and booby-trapping combat zones. The terrorist was appointed commander of the Shujaiya Battalion after the elimination of the previous battalion commander, Jamil Wadih, and his predecessor, Wissam Farhat. Prior to the strike, measures were taken to minimize civilian casualties, including the use of precision munitions, aerial imagery, and additional intelligence. The Hamas terrorist organization systematically violates international law, exploiting civilian buildings and civilian populations as human shields to perpetrate its terrorist operations.
