Yesterday, the IDF attacked an engineering vehicle in the Naqoura area of southern Lebanon, which was attempting to rebuild Hezbollah military infrastructure in the area.
During the attack, a technical malfunction occurred, resulting in the munition failing to explode and falling to the ground. Reports later emerged of several Lebanese Army personnel being injured. The possibility of the incident being caused by the explosion of Israeli weapons is being examined.
The IDF expresses its regret for the injury to the Lebanese Army soldiers, and the incident will be investigated.
The IDF emphasizes that the attack followed Hezbollah's attempts to rebuild terrorist infrastructure, contrary to the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, and did not target Lebanese Army personnel.
The IDF will continue to work to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.

هاجم جيش الدفاع أمس آلية هندسية في منطقة الناقورة في جنوب لبنان كانت تهم بإعادة اعمار بنى تحتية عسكرية لحزب الله في المنطقة.
خلال الغارة وقع خلل فني اسفر عن عدم انفجار الذخيرة وسقوطها على الأرض حيث وردت فيما بعد تقارير عن اصابة عدد من عناصر ‫#الجيش_اللبناني‬. يجرى فحص امكانية وقوع الحادث نتيجة انفجار الأسلحة الاسرائيلية.
يبدي جيش الدفاع أسفه عن اصابة جنود الجيش اللبناني وسيتم التحقيق في الحادث.
يؤكد جيش الدفاع ان الغارة جاءت في أعقاب محاولات حزب الله اعادة اعمار بنى تحتية ارهابية خلافًا للتفاهمات بين إسرائيل ولبنان ولم تستهدف الجنود في الجيش اللبناني.
سيواصل جيش الدفاع العمل لإزالة أي تهديد على دولة إسرائيل.
