The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that approximately 70 people were killed and more than 100 injured—a preliminary toll—as a result of an Israeli bombardment that targeted a residential neighborhood near Kamal Adwan Hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip. Yousef Abu Kuwaik, a Cairo News correspondent from Khan Yunis, reported that civil defense crews were unable to retrieve the bodies of the martyrs and wounded in Beit Lahia due to the intensity of the Israeli bombardment.
