The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in partnership with the international coalition, launched a large-scale security campaign targeting dozens of villages west of the city of Al-Shaddadi in the southern Hasakah countryside, as part of their pursuit of ISIS cells, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
