Fellow journalist Mohammed Fayeq was directly injured yesterday in the Gaza Strip as a result of an Israeli artillery attack on Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. This resulted in severe partial paralysis, amidst doctors' warnings that he could become completely paralyzed if he is not urgently evacuated for treatment abroad.
This is not the first time; rather, it is the third time Mohammed has been injured while covering the aggression on Gaza, making him a living witness to the extent of the systematic targeting of journalists.
We call on the World Health Organization, the Red Cross, and all international media organizations and entities to intervene quickly to save his life and ensure his access to a specialized medical center.

الزميل الصحفي محمد فايق تعرّض أمس لإصابة مباشرة في قطاع غزّة من جراء استهداف مدفعي إسرائيلي في مستشفى ناصر بخان يونس، ما أدى إلى شلل نصفي خطير، وسط تحذيرات الأطباء من تحوّله إلى شلل كلي إذا لم يتم إجلاؤه العاجل للعلاج في الخارج.
هذه ليست المرة الأولى، بل هي الإصابة الثالثة التي يتعرض لها محمد خلال عمله الصحفي في تغطية العدوان على غزة، ما يجعله شاهدًا حيًا على حجم الاستهداف الممنهج للصحفيين.
