In a blatant attack and flagrant violation of Iraq's sovereignty and security, a drone carried out an act no different from a terrorist attack, targeting a security headquarters in the capital, Baghdad, today, Thursday, resulting in casualties in this completely unacceptable incident.
The Iraqi Armed Forces hold the International Coalition forces responsible for this unjustified attack on an Iraqi security entity operating within the authority granted to it by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. This attack undermines all understandings between the Iraqi Armed Forces and the International Coalition forces.
We consider this targeting a dangerous escalation and an attack on Iraq, far removed from the spirit and letter of the mandate and the purpose for which the International Coalition was established in Iraq.
May God have mercy on the martyrs of this attack and grant a speedy recovery to the wounded.

في اعتداء سافر وتعدٍّ صارخ على سيادة العراق وأمنه، أقدمت طائرة مسيرة على عمل لا يختلف عن الأعمال الإرهابية، باستهداف أحد المقارّ الأمنية في العاصمة بغداد، اليوم الخميس، مما أدى إلى وقوع ضحايا في هذا الحادث المرفوض جملة وتفصيلاً.
إن القوات المسلحة العراقية تحمّل قوات التحالف الدولي مسؤولية هذا الهجوم غير المبرر على جهة أمنية عراقية تعمل وفق الصلاحيات الممنوحة لها من قبل القائد العام للقوات المسلحة، الأمر الذي يقوض جميع التفاهمات ما بين القوات المسلحة العراقية وقوات التحالف الدولي.
إننا نعدُّ هذا الاستهداف تصعيداً خطيراً واعتداءً على العراق وبعيداً عن روح ونص التفويض والعمل الذي وجد من أجله التحالف الدولي في العراق.
الرحمة والمغفرة لشهداء هذا الاعتداء والشفاء العاجل للجرحى.
