The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported on Sunday morning that the area surrounding Al-Quds Hospital in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood was subjected to intense Israeli shelling, noting that heavy artillery fire and airstrikes were observed.

The Society stated on its official social media pages on Sunday morning that ambulance crews were unable to reach the area due to the intensity of the bombardment.

It also reported that a building approximately 50 meters from Al-Quds Hospital and the Society's headquarters in the Tel al-Hawa area was targeted and completely destroyed, adding that a number of injuries and fatalities had been recorded.

The Society further reported that a patient in the intensive care unit at Al-Quds Hospital was critically injured as a result of the heavy shelling of the area surrounding the hospital in the Gaza Strip.

On Saturday, the World Health Organization condemned the attacks that occurred near three hospitals in the Gaza Strip: Al-Shifa, Al-Quds, and the Indonesian Hospital, which resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities and injuries. The World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement that it had received reports that at Al-Shifa Hospital, ambulances were evacuating critically ill and injured patients to hospitals in southern Gaza when an attack occurred at the hospital's entrance.

Initial reports indicate that at least 13 people were killed and more than 60 others were injured. The hospital's infrastructure and an ambulance were also damaged. The WHO added that another attack had previously damaged a different ambulance in the same convoy.

أفادت جمعية الهلال الأحمر الفلسطيني، صباح اليوم الأحد، بتعرض محيط مبنى مستشفى القدس في منطقة تل الهوى، لقصف إسرائيلي مكثف، مشيرة إلى رصد انفجارات عنيفة مدفعية وغارات جوية.
ونوهت عبر صفحاتها الرسمية بمنصات التواصل الاجتماعي، صباح الأحد، أن طواقم الإسعاف لا تستطيع الخروج من شدة القصف، للاستجابة للإصابات في المنطقة.
وأشارت إلى «استهداف لعمارة تبعد مسافة ما يقارب 50 مترًا عن مقر مستشفى القدس والجمعية في منطقة تل الهوى وتدميرها بالكامل، لافتة إلى تسجيل عدد من الإصابات والشهداء.
كما أفادت الجمعية بإصابة مريض في قسم العناية المركزة وهو على سرير العناية بحالة خطيرة في مستشفى القدس، جراء القصف العنيف لمحيط المستشفى الواقع في قطاع غزة.
وأمس السبت، أدانت منظمة الصحة العالمية، الهجمات التي وقعت بالقرب من 3 مستشفيات في قطاع غزة، هي: الشفاء والقدس والإندونيسي، والتي أوقعت عشرات الضحايا بين شهداء ومصابين.
وقالت الصحة العالمية في بيان، إن التقارير التي تلقتها تفيد بأنه في مستشفى الشفاء، كانت سيارات الإسعاف تُجلي أصحاب الحالات الحرجة من المرضى والمصابين إلى مستشفيات في جنوب قطاع غزة عندما وقع هجوم على مدخل المستشفى.
وقد وردت تقارير أولية تفيد باستشهاد ما لا يقل عن 13 شخصاً وإصابة أكثر من 60 آخرين، إضافة إلى تعرض البنية الأساسية للمستشفى وسيارة إسعاف لتلفيات، في حين وقع هجوم آخر ألحق أضرارًا بسيارة إسعاف أخرى في القافلة نفسها قبل ذلك، وفق المنظمة.
