Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, a pediatrician at Al-Tahrir Hospital in Nasser Medical Complex, has ten children, the eldest of whom is under 12 years old. She went out with her husband, Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar, to take her to work, and just minutes after his return, a missile fell on their home. Nine of their children were killed: Yahya, Rakan, Raslan, Jubran, Eve, Rifan, Saydin, Luqman, and Sidra. Adam, the only surviving child, and her husband, Dr. Hamdi, were injured and are now in intensive care. This is what our medical staff are experiencing in the Gaza Strip; words are not enough to describe the pain. In Gaza, not only medical personnel are being targeted, but the Israeli occupation is committing crimes, targeting entire families.
