I never spoke to him, not even once. We only met occasionally at the Husseini pulpit. I would listen to his sermons, waiting for my turn to recite in the Husseini gatherings during Muharram and other occasions. A single encounter, from afar, in the details of his work, revealed to me how just, merciful, and wise he was. Such an end was fitting for him. لم أحادثُه ولو لمرّة واحدة .. فقط كان يجمعنا أحيانا المنبر الحسينيّ .. أستمع لموعظته بإنتظار دوري لقراءة المجلس الحسينيّ أيّام محرّم والمناسبات ..
موقف واحد من بعد وبعيد في تفاصيل العمل .. عرّفني به كم هو عادل وذو رحمة ، وعاقل ذو بيّنة ..
