To God we belong and to Him we shall return. There is no power nor strength except with God.
O God, in Your cause and seeking Your pleasure,
A group of martyrs—at least 26—from our family, the Al-Mishmish and Abu Layla families (my maternal uncles) have been martyred:
1. My brother-in-law, my cousin Bilal Hassan Mishmish
2. My cousin Adham Hassan Mishmish, his wife, and children
3. My uncle's wife, Suad Abu Khadra, and my cousins
4. My cousin Nidal Saleh Mishmish and his wife
5. My cousin Basil Saleh Mishmish
6. My aunt Najwa Abu Layla, her daughter, and grandchildren
7. My aunt's husband, Fathi Abu Layla
We say only what pleases our Lord. Praise be to God.
O God, accept them among the martyrs.
O God, in Your cause and seeking Your pleasure.
We thank God for the survival of my father, mother, two sisters, their husbands and children, my aunts, and a number of my cousins.

٢. ابن عمي أدهم حسن مشمش وزوجته وأبناؤه
٣. زوجة عمي سعاد أبو خضرة وبنات عمي
٤. ابن عمي نضال صالح مشمش وزوجته
٥. ابن عمي باسل صالح مشمش
٦. خالتي نجوى ابو ليلة وابنتها وأحفدها
٧. زوج خالتي فتحي أبو ليلة
ولا نقول إلا ما يرضي ربنا الحمد لله
اللهم تقبلهم في الشهداء
اللهم في سبيلك وابتغاء مرضاتك
ونحمد الله على نجاة الوالد والوالدة وأخواتي الاثنتين وازواجهم وابناؤهم وخالتيّ وعدد من أبناء عمي
