Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal: Rescue crews recovered 28 martyrs as a result of the fire belts that targeted the vicinity of the European Hospital in Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip, especially the Afghan family area. The direct shelling and fire belts that reached the place caused widespread destruction in civilian homes, while the occupation renewed the shelling after the Civil Defense crews arrived at the site. Eyewitnesses reported that one of the targeted homes (the Afghan family) was crowded with residents, and the bodies of more than 20 martyrs are still inside it until now, amid the difficulty of reaching them due to the intensity of the shelling.
