The Institute of Journalism and Information Sciences mourns with deep sorrow and grief the Palestinian journalist Ahmed Abu Aziz, a graduate of the institute and a researcher in the doctoral program in media and communication sciences, who was martyred today in Gaza as a result of shelling by the Zionist occupation forces.
The Institute extends its deepest condolences and sympathy to the family, relatives, and colleagues of the deceased, and strongly condemns the systematic targeting of journalists in Gaza and occupied Palestine.
May God have mercy on the deceased and grant him a place in His spacious gardens. To God we belong and to Him we shall return.

ينعى معهد الصحافة وعلوم الإخبار ببالغ الحزن والأسى الصحفي الفلسطيني أحمد أبو عزيز خرّيج المعهد والباحث في برنامج الدكتوراه في علوم الإعلام والاتصال بالمعهد، الذي استُشهد اليوم في غزة إثر قصف قوات الاحتلال الصهيوني.
وإذ يتقدم المعهد بأحر التعازي والمواساة لأهل الفقيد وذويه وزملائه، فإنه يدين بشدة الاستهداف الممنهج للصحفيين في غزة وفي فلسطين المحتلة.
تغمد الله الفقيد بواسع رحمته، وأسكنه فسيح جناته، وإنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون.
