Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, a pediatrician at Al-Tahrir Hospital in Nasser Medical Complex, has ten children, the eldest of whom is no more than 12 years old. She went out with her husband, Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar, to take her to work, and just minutes after his return, a missile fell on their home. Nine of their children were martyred: Yahya, Rakan, Raslan, Jibran, Eve, Revan, Saydin, Luqman, and Sidra. Adam, the only remaining child, and her husband, Dr. Hamdi, were injured and are now in intensive care.
