Bassem, my life, I have never seen you except with a smile preceding you. You were a true man despite your young age, an example of politeness and respect, unparalleled in our time. Ahmed, for whom I loved all children, and I wished God would send me someone like him. I named my son after him out of my love for him. I always pampered you and told you, “My white chick has grown up, my love, and has become a dove of peace that was slaughtered by UN resolutions.” Praise be to God, two moons from my family have joined the caravan of martyrs, namely: My son, my brother, the martyrs Bassem and Ahmed Yahya Khalifa.
