Statement issued by the General Directorate of Police: The General Directorate of Police in the Gaza Strip condemns the assassination of the Director of the West Khan Yunis Police Station, south of the Gaza Strip, Martyr Lieutenant Colonel/Mohammed Ahmed Al-Darbashi, as a result of a direct targeting of his home by Israeli occupation aircraft in the early hours of this morning. As the General Directorate of Police mourns the martyr Al-Darbashi, it affirms that it will continue to carry out its duty to protect the security of citizens despite the bombing and targeting, and that the malicious efforts led by the occupation to spread chaos in the Gaza Strip will not succeed. We also reiterate our call on the international community to work to curb the occupation's attacks and repeated targeting of police personnel, as it is a civil protection agency under international law. بيان صادر عن المديرية العامة للشرطة: تدين المديرية العامة للشرطة في قطاع غزة جريمة اغتيال مدير مركز شرطة غرب مدينة خانيونس جنوبي قطاع غزة، الــشــهـيـد مقدم/ محمد أحمد الدرباشي، جراء استهداف مباشر لمنزله من قبل طائرات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في ساعة مبكرة من فجر اليوم. وإذ تنعى المديرية العامة للشرطة الــشــهــيــد الدرباشي، تؤكد أنها ستواصل القيام بواجبها في حماية أمن المواطنين برغم القصف والاستهداف، وأن المساعي الخبيثة التي يقودها الاحتلال لنشر الفوضى في قطاع غزة لن يكتب لها النجاح. كما نكرر دعوتنا للمجتمع الدولي بالعمل على لجم اعتداءات الاحتلال واستهدافه المتكرر لعناصر الشرطة، باعتباره جهاز حماية مدنية بموجب القانون الدولي. المديرية العامة للشرطة - قطاع غزة الأحد 13 أبريل 2025
