Statement issued by the General Directorate of Police: The General Directorate of Police condemns the Israeli occupation's assassination of the Director of the Beit Hanoun Police Station in the northern Gaza Strip, Lieutenant Colonel Zaher Ayman Alian, in an airstrike in the Qalibu area, north of the Strip, this morning. The General Directorate of Police mourns the death of Lieutenant Colonel "Alian" and affirms that it will continue to perform its duty to support citizens in light of the raging war of extermination against our people. The repeated targeting of police commanders and personnel by the occupation will not push us to retreat from continuing to perform our duty. The General Directorate of Police renews its appeal to the international community and relevant institutions to urgently intervene and pressure the occupation to stop targeting the police force, as it is a civil protection force protected under international law. تصريح صادر عن المديرية العامة للشرطة: تدين المديرية العامة للشرطة، إقدام الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على جريمة اغتيال مدير مركز شرطة مدينة بيت حانون شمال قطاع غزة، مقدم/ زاهر أيمن عليان، بغارة جوية في منطقة قليبو شمال القطاع صباح اليوم. وإذ تنعى المديرية العامة للشرطة المقدم "عليان"، لتؤكد أنها مستمرة في القيام بواجبها في إسناد المواطنين في ظل حرب الإبادة المستعرة ضد شعبنا، وإن الاستهداف المتكرر من قبل الاحتلال لقادة الشرطة وعناصرها لن يدفعنا للتراجع عن مواصلة أداء الواجب. تجدد المديرية العامة للشرطة مناشدتها للمجتمع الدولي والمؤسسات المعنية، بالتدخل العاجل والضغط على الاحتلال لوقف استهداف جهاز الشرطة باعتباره جهاز حماية مدنية محمي بموجب القانون الدولي. المديرية العامة للشرطة الجمعة 16 مايو 2025
