A few moments ago, our cousin Tariq Samir al-Tahrawi was martyred. Our son did not die on a battlefield, nor did he carry a weapon, but he fell as a martyr in the battle of life. He died hungry while searching for a morsel of bread to feed his family. What kind of heart can bear to see a human being die because he could not find food? Tariq was not just a name, he was a son of this land, made of our flesh and blood. Tariq died because he wanted to live, and if he had something to eat, he would not have sought American or other aid. Tariq al-Tahrawi is not the only one who was martyred today searching for food. Tariq and 30 others like him were martyred searching for a dignified life. A wound will remain bleeding in the heart of every free person. A cry that must be heard from near and far. A message that must be understood. People are not only killed by bombing, but they are killed when they are left to die of hunger. My sincere condolences to my dear cousin Samir al-Tahrawi, Abu Muhammad. Mercy to Tariq and to all our martyrs, and shame and disgrace to those who remain silent.

قبل قليل استشهد ابن العم طارق سمير الطهراوي ابننا لم يمت في ساحة معركة ولم يحمل سلاحالكنه سقط شهيدا في معركة الحياة .مات جائعاً وهو يبحث عن لقمة خبز يسد بها رمق عائلتهأي قلب هذا الذي يحتمل أن يرى إنسانا يموت لأنه لم يجد طعاما؟طارق لم يكن مجرد اسم كان ابن هذه الأرض من لحمنا ودمنا .طارق مات لأنه أراد أن يعيش ولو كان لديه شئ لياكله ما ذهب لمساعدات أمريكية أو غيرها .طارق الطهراوي ليس لوحده اليوم من استشهد للبحث عن طعام استشهد طارق و30 آخرين مثله يبحتون عن حياة كريمة سيبقي جرح ينزف في قلب كل حر .صرخة يجب أن تسمع من القريب والبعيد رسالة يجب أن تفهم .الشعب لا يقتل فقط بالقصف بل يُقتل حين يترك ليموت جوعا . خالص التعازي لابن خالى الغالي سمير الطهراوي ابو محمد .والرحمة لطارق ولكل شهدائنا والخزي والعار للصامتين.
