It was supposed to be the beginning of a new life for my martyred friend, Saeed Al-Saftawi, on the day of his engagement to the woman his heart had chosen and whom he accepted in terms of religion and morals.
But he preceded us to the eternal gardens of paradise, God willing.
He departed before he could wear his wedding dress, and instead wore the shroud of purity.
O God, accept him as a martyr, comfort the hearts of his family and fiancée, and inspire us and them with patience.
To God we belong and to Him we shall return.

كان االمفروض يكون بداية حياة جديدة لصديقي الشهيد سعيد الصفطاوي، يوم إشهاره وخطبته على من اختارها قلبه ورضيها دينًا وأخلاقًا.
لكن سبقنا إلى جنات الخلد شهيدًا بإذن الله.
رحل قبل أن يلبس بدلة الفرح، ولبس بدلًا منها كفن الطهر.
اللهم تقبله شهيدًا، واربِط على قلوب أهله وخطيبته، وألهمنا وإياهم الصبر.
إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون.
