Israel kills son of journalist Wael al-Dahdouh in Khan Yunis airstrike
Al Jazeera journalist Hamza al-Dahdouh, son of Al Jazeera correspondent Wael al-Dahdouh, and his colleague, journalist Mustafa Thuraya, were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting their car in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, on Sunday. Al Jazeera reported that the Israeli bombing targeted Hamza and a group of journalists while they were working with the Al Jazeera crew near the Mawasi area, southwest of the Gaza Strip. The area has been the target of civilian displacement due to Israeli shelling of several areas in the Strip.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported that its preliminary statistics indicate that at least 101 journalists and 481 health workers have been killed since the start of the #AlAqsa_Flood operation on October 7.
Journalist Wael al-Dahdouh was also injured in the middle of last month in the abdomen and hand by shrapnel from a missile fired from a reconnaissance aircraft as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. A violent Israeli bombardment of a home housing displaced Palestinians in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of several members of the family of renowned Al Jazeera correspondent in Gaza, Wael al-Dahdouh, including his wife, son, and daughter.
Al Jazeera reported that al-Dahdouh was covering the ongoing Israeli airstrikes from Al Jazeera's Gaza office when he was surprised by an airstrike on the area where his family had taken refuge in the southern Gaza Valley. This area is among the areas to which the occupation forces had asked residents to flee.
Al Jazeera reported that al-Dahdouh's family members had taken refuge in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip after he decided he would not be able to devote himself to them amid the ongoing bombardment and his tireless work covering the aggression.

إسرائيل تقتل نجل الصحافي وائل الدحدودح في غارة بخانيونس
استشهد الصحافي بطاقم #قناة_الجزيرة حمزة الدحدوح، نجل مراسل ذات القناة، #وائل_الدحدوح، رفقة زميله الصحافي مصطفى ثريا، إثر غارة لقوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، استهدفت سيارتهما بمدينة خانيونس جنوبي قطاع غزة، اليوم الأحد. وقال شبكة "الجزيرة" إن القصف الإسرائيلي استهدف حمزة مع مجموعة من الصحفيين خلال عمله ضمن طاقم الجزيرة قرب منطقة المواصي جنوبي غرب قطاع غزة، وهي المنطقة التي نزح إليها مدنيون جراء القصف الإسرائيلي على مناطق عدة بالقطاع.
وذكر المرصد الأورو متوسطي لحقوق الإنسان أن إحصاءاته الأولية تفيد بمقتل ما لا يقل عن 101 صحفيا، و 481 من الكوادر الصحية منذ انطلاق معركة #طوفان_الأقصى في 7 أكتوبر الماضي.
وكان الصحفي وائل #الدحدوح قد أصيب هو الآخر منتصف الشهر الماضي في بطنه ويده بشظايا صاروخ أطلق من طائرة استطلاع جراء قصف إسرائيلي استهدف مدينة خان يونس جنوب قطاع #غزة.
كما كان قصف إسرائيلي عنيف على منزل يضم نازحين فلسطينيين في مخيم النصيرات وسط قطاع غزة، قد أدى إلى استشهاد عدد من أفراد عائلة المراسل الشهير لقناة الجزيرة في غزة، وائل الدحدوح، بمن فيهم زوجته وابنه وابنته.
وقالت قناة الجزيرة، إن الدحدوح كان يغطي من مكتب الجزيرة في غزة الغارات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة، حين تفاجأ بغارة على المنطقة التي لجأت إليها عائلته في جنوب وادي غزة، وهي ضمن المناطق التي طلب الاحتلال من السكان التوجه إليها.
ولجأ أفراد عائلة الزميل الدحدوح إلى مخيم النصيرات جنوب قطاع غزة بعد أن ارتأى أنه لن يتمكن من التفرغ لهم وسط القصف المتواصل وعمله الدؤوب في تغطية العدوان، بحسب ما أوردته الجزيرة.
