*Hajj Ali Youssef Faqih* (Abu Hussein), the righteous servant, the pure believer, the generous and helpful father, we knew him as a fighter from his youth for a decent living for his family. He walked the paths of Kfarkela, Taybeh, Rab Thalathin, Houla, and the surrounding area, and its people knew him as a loving man striving to serve the needy with all the strength, determination, and capabilities he possessed. *Abu Hussein* stayed with the land he loved and accompanied its people in the most difficult and darkest circumstances. Generous, noble, courageous, a fighter, a struggler, kind, compassionate, and cheerful, with a sharp tongue and a piercing arrow against the enemies. He dedicated himself to helping the injured and wounded. He did not rest, nor did he remain silent, nor did he care about a criminal enemy who has no mercy and does not value law, nor do laws, nor covenants. Despite knowing the barbarity of the enemy, he resisted him in his own way. He took up his tools of work and went towards serving the people. A tireless and heroic medic, despite his advanced age, he seemed like a young man, answering the call without complaint or weariness. He rescued and saved countless lives. Because the honor of martyrdom is bestowed only upon those of great fortune, God granted him His highest honor: martyrdom on the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the path to Jerusalem, the path to supporting the oppressed, and the path to confronting the oppressors.
To my wife's father, who was like a father to me, to the one I knew for his noble character and virtues, to the one I loved to sit and converse with, to the one who surrounded me, my family, and his household with love, compassion, and tenderness, to you, dear Abu Hussein, so precious to our hearts, with tears of sorrow for your loss and pride in your blessed end, we offer a greeting of love and longing. We believe you are a blessed martyr in the sight of God. We will all miss you, but you will remain with us as a hopeful and reassured spirit. Your memory will remain a beacon illuminating our lives, and your pure blood will pave the way for our inevitable victory.
To Paradise, my beloved. My heart, O Abu Hussein, yearns for a meeting in Paradise, as vast as the heavens and the earth, with the prophets, martyrs, and righteous ones—and how excellent a company they are!
