According to the testimony of journalist Ahmed Al-Barsh, a group of journalists were in the Miraj area, located between Khan Yunis and Rafah, to cover the bombing of a chalet belonging to the Abu Al-Naja family.
After the coverage, the journalists stood talking, then a reconnaissance plane fired a missile at them, injuring them. Fortunately, some of them were in an ambulance that transported some of them, while others were in a civilian car.
The reconnaissance plane bombed the roof of the civilian car in which Hamza Al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuraya were present. Mustafa was martyred instantly, and Hamza was martyred on his way to the hospital.
