The government media office in Gaza called on all press unions, media, human rights, and legal organizations to condemn this crime and denounce its recurrence by the occupation. We also call on them to pressure the occupation to stop its war of genocide against the defenseless Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
Israel targeted the Dahdouh family in an airstrike that hit the home they were staying in in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza on October 25, killing his wife, his son Mahmoud, his 8-year-old daughter Sham, and his grandson, the son of the martyr Hamza, who worked as a journalist. The Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Press Awards nominated Palestinian journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh for the Freedom of the Press Award, presented this year by the Syndicate as a symbol of the steadfastness of Palestinian journalists and their resilience in the face of the brutal Zionist aggression and its brutal war machine.
The nomination honors the martyrs of the Palestinian press, who paid with their lives to convey the truth and expose the crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people. Through their steadfastness, they exposed the false Zionist narrative and the lies of the Western media, and stood up for the truth. And also in appreciation of Al-Dahdouh's personal sacrifice and his professional role, after he set an example of sacrifice for the sake of conveying the truth, and after he paid the price for his dedication to his profession and professionalism by targeting his wife, two of his sons, and his grandson who were martyred, but he insisted on performing his professional role and continuing his journalistic work after that, which he repeated to establish a new title for Palestinian steadfastness by directly targeting him and his colleague, the martyr Samer Abu Daqqa, to return again like a phoenix, continuing to convey the truth and victory for the Palestinian cause just hours after his injury. تقرير صحفى عن تستشهاد حمزه وائل الدحدوح

أكدت مصادر صحفية فلسطينية، استشهاد حمزة نجل الصحفى الفلسطينى وائل الدحدوح فى قصف إسرائيلي استهدف صحفيين غرب خان يونس جنوبى قطاع غزة.
أكد المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي في غزة ارتفاع عدد الشهداء الصحفيين إلى (109 صحفيين) منذ بدء حرب الإبادة الجماعية على قطاع غزة، بعد استشهاد الصحفيين حمزة وائل الدحدوح، ومصطفى ثريا. حيث استشهدا بقصف الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لسيارة كانا يستقلانها خلال تغطيتهما الصحفية.
وكتب حمزة الدحدوح قبل ساعات من استشهاده عبر حسابه على منصة "إكس": إنك الصابر المحتسب يا أبي، فلا تيأس من الشفاء ولا تقنط من رحمة الله وكن على يقين أن الله سيجزيك خيرًا لما صبرت.
وأدان المكتب الإعلامي في غزة بأشد العبارات هذه الجريمة النكراء، وأن هذه الجرائم المتواصلة التي يرتكبها جيش الاحتلال "الإسرائيلي" بحق الصحفيين تهدف إلى ترهيب وتخويف الصحفيين ومحاولة فاشلة لطمس الحقيقة ومنعهم من التغطية الإعلامية.
ودعا الإعلام الحكومي في غزة كل الاتحادات الصحفية والهيئات الإعلامية والحقوقية والقانونية إلى إدانة هذه الجريمة والتنديد بتكرارها من قبل الاحتلال، كما ندعوهم إلى الضغط على الاحتلال لوقف حرب الإبادة الجماعية ضد الشعب الفلسطيني الأعزل في قطاع غزة.
وكانت إسرائيل قد استهدفت عائلة الدحدوح في غارة جوية أصابت المنزل الذي كانوا فيه في مخيم النصيرات وسط قطاع غزة في 25 أكتوبر الماضي، لتقتل زوجته وابنه محمود وابنته شام البالغة من العمر 8 سنوات وحفيده ابن الشهيد حمزة الذي يعمل صحفيا.
ورشح مجلس أمناء جوائز الصحافة المصرية الصحفى الفلسطينى وائل الدحدوح للحصول على جائزة "حرية الصحافة"، التى تقدمها النقابة هذا العام كرمز لصمود الصحفيين الفلسطينيين، وصمودهم فى وجه العدوان الصهيونى الغاشم، وآلة حربه الوحشية.
يأتى الترشيح تكريمًا لشهداء الصحافة الفلسطينية، الذين دفعوا حياتهم ثمنًا لنقل الحقيقة، وفضح جرائم الإبادة الجماعية بحق الشعب الفلسطينى، الذين فضحوا بصمودهم الرواية الصهيونية الزائفة، وأكاذيب الإعلام الغربى، وانتصروا للحقيقة.
وكذلك تقديرًا لتضحية الدحدوح الشخصية، ودوره المهنى، بعد أن ضرب مثلًا فى التضحية من أجل نقل الحقيقة، وبعد أن دفع ثمن إخلاصه لمهنته، ومهنيته باستهداف زوجته، واثنين من أبنائه، وحفيده ارتقوا شهداء، لكنه أصر على أداء دوره المهنى، ومواصلة عمله الصحفى بعدها، وهو ما كرره ليؤسس عنوانًا جديدًا للصمود الفلسطينى باستهدافه بشكل مباشر هو وزميله الشهيد سامر أبو دقة، ليعود مرة أخرى كالعنقاء مواصلًا نقله للحقيقة والانتصار للقضية الفلسطينية بعد ساعات قليلة من إصابته.
