The martyrdom of my brother, my beloved, my friend, my colleague in education and work, my fellow journalist Ahmed Badeer.
A friendship that began with my studies in journalism and continued beyond that, eventually bringing us together in the same job.
Ahmed, the affiliated, well-mannered, cultured, proactive, and passionate about learning and work.
Ahmed, who took my hand since the war began and accompanied us for more than 90 days of work under the most difficult circumstances. We began from our office in Gaza City. After the electricity was cut off in Gaza City a week later, he also took my hand, through personal effort and initiative, to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. We established an office and a work station from scratch.
For three months, we worked together, leading our organization alone...with no third party.
And many more details in between, leading up to a week ago when most of the media organizations and the displaced people in the hospital began evacuating, heading to Rafah and Khan Younis. Martyr Ahmed told me: "We won't leave or move anywhere. We're working here, we'll never finish. We won't waste the effort of three months." Until today, January 10, 2024; my friend and beloved Ahmed was martyred and ascended to the One with whom deposits are not lost and who does not waste the reward of those who do good work.
My comrade Abu Naim was martyred to join the ranks of our people's martyrs: journalists, resistance fighters, activists, and citizens.

رحلة صداقة بدأت بدراسة الصحافة وامتدت لما بعدها وصولا إلى أن تجمعنا في نفس الوظيفة

أحمد الذي أخذ بيدي منذ أن بدأت الحرب وترافقنا أكثر من 90 يوماً في العمل في أصعب الظروف بدأناها من مكتبنا في مدينة غزة؛ وبعد أن انقطعت الكهرباء على مدينة غزة بعد أسبوع؛ أخذ بيدي أيضا وبجهد شخصي ومبادرة منه إلى مستشفى شهداء الأقصى؛ وأنشأنا مكتباً ونقطة للعمل من الصفر.
ثلاثة شهور ونحن نعمل معاً نقود مؤسستنا وحيدَين.. دون ثالث.
وكثير من التفاصيل في المنتصف وصولاً إلى قبل أسبوع عندما بدأت معظم المؤسسات الصحفية والنازحون في المستشفى بالإخلاء متوجهين لرفح وخانيونس؛ قال لي الشهيد أحمد: مش حنروح ولا حنتحرك مكان.. هينا هان شغالين.. زي مبدينا زي مبنخلص.. مش حنضيع تعب ٣ شهور بآخر إشي". وصولاً إلى اليوم 10-1-2024؛ استُشهد صديقي وحبيبي أحمد وارتقى إلى الذي لا تضيع عنده ودائعه ولا يضيع أجر من أحسن عملاً.
استُشهد رفيقي أبو نعيم ليلتحقَ بأقمار الشهداء من شعبنا؛ صحفيين.. مقاومين.. مناضلين... ومواطنين.
إلى اللقاء يا صديقي.. ونلتقي في جنّة الرحمن
صبّر الله أهله وإيانا وكل من يحبه وكل من فقد شهيداً.
