My heart's joy, my brother and beloved Sameh Moqbel, was martyred. My consolation remains that my beloved departed from me as a martyr, and that God chose you, Sameh, as you used to call Him, "and that you make my soul with the martyrs." And here God has given him what he wished for, a good ending, and that you, my beloved, are, God willing, a martyr. O God, I am satisfied, so be satisfied with me for God. All my longing for you is for God. Everything that makes me cry with longing for you is for God. All my conversations about you are for God. The compensation is in seeing you. For God, I sold and God bought. May God have mercy on you as much as you hurt me for your companionship that tired my heart. May God have mercy on you, my beloved, and we will meet in the hereafter. To God belongs what I command, and to God belongs my patience and longing. O God, accept his martyrdom and treat him well. As you are worthy of it, my Lord, O God, accept and forgive with the righteous and the martyrs, and it is enough for me that this is a world, and everything in it will perish, and to God we belong and to Him we shall return. May God have mercy on you, my compassionate one, and grant us patience for your separation, my dear.

استُشهِد مَُهجةَُ قلبي أخي وحبيبي سامح مقبل عزائي يبقى بأنْ
رحل الحّبيبُ عني شهيدً وبأنّ الله اصطفاك يا سامح
وكمّا كُنت تدعوهَُ "وأَنّ تَجعَل روحي مَع الشَُهداء"..
وهآ قدَ ءاتاهُ الله ما كان يتمنى من حُسن الختامِ
وأنك يا حبِيبُ بِإِذنِ اللهِ شهيدًا، اللهُّم اني رضيتَ
فارضَ عني لله كُل شوقي لك لله كل ما يُبكني شوقاً إلِيك لله كُل أحاديثي عنك لله العوضَ في رّؤيتك لله بعتُ والله اشترى رحِمك الله بقدرِ مَا أوجعتني على فرافقك الذي اتعب فؤادي رحِمك الله يا حّبيبي ، ولنا بالآخرة لِقاءً، وللهِ ما أمُر بهِ وللهِ صَبري والحنِين، اللهُّم تَقبل شهادتهِ ، وعاملهُ بِمَا أنتَ أهلهُ ياربّ، اللهُّم تقَبل سامح مع الصديقين والشُهداء، وحسبيِ أنها دُنيا، وكلُّ ما عليها إلى زوالُ و إنَّا للَّه وإنَّا إليهِ رَاجعونّ" .
