Obituary of a Friend and Fighter
The fighter, friend, and relative Bassam Faeq Hassouna, a member of the Central Committee of the FIDA Party, passed away yesterday evening, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the age of 51.
My brother and friend Bassam was a cadre of the Palestinian Ministry of Culture in the Gaza Strip, committed to national legitimacy, and also represented his party in the prisoners' file.
My friend Bassam was distinguished by his honesty, sincerity, love, and cooperation with everyone. He was a model of giving and loyalty to national causes.
He was persevering and ambitious, even though his financial situation was difficult and despite his responsibility for his family of six, in addition to his responsibility for his siblings, he struggled until he recently obtained a master's degree in media from an Egyptian university.
He was beloved, humble, and concerned for the interests of his brothers, comrades, and colleagues, just as he was concerned for his own interests. He was a symbol of national unity and a courageous defender of it.
I offer my deepest condolences to his small family, his comrades in the Palestinian Democratic Union Party (FIDA), and his colleagues in the Ministry of Culture and the To the prisoners, the freed, all his acquaintances, and our people, I pray that God will have mercy on him and grant him a place in heaven. رحل المناضل والصديق والنسيب بسام فائق حسونة، عضو اللجنة المركزية لحزب "فدا" مساء امس الاربعاء الموافق ٢٠ مارس ٢٠٢٤ عن عمر ناهز ال٥١ عاما
والاخ والصديق بسام كادر من كوادر وزارة الثقافة الفلسطينية في قطاع غزة، وملتزم بالشرعية الوطنية وكان ايضا ممثلا لحزبه في ملف اسرى الحرية
وتميز الصديق بسام بالصدق والإخلاص والمحبة والتعاون مع الجميع، وكان نموذجا للعطاء والوفاء للقضايا الوطنية
ومثابر وطموح حتى انه رغم ضيق اليد ورغم مسؤوليته عن أسرته المكونة من ٦ افراد بالاضافة لمسؤوليته عن اخوته إلا انه كافح حتى حصل على الماجستير في الإعلام من احدى الجامعات المصرية مؤخرا
كان محبوبا ومتواضعا وحريصا على مصالح اخوانه ورفاقه وزملائه كما كان حريصا على مصالحه، وكان عنوانا من عناوين الوحدة الوطنية ومدافعا عنها بشجاعة
اتوجه باحر التعازي القلبية لاسرته الصغيرة ولرفاقه في حزب الاتحاد الديمقراطي الفلسطيني "فدا" ولزملائه في وزارة الثقافة وفي هيئة الأسرى والمحررين ولكل معارفه ولابناء شعبنا، راجيا ان يتغمده المولى بواسع رحمته وان يسكنه فسيح جنانه، وارجو لنا جميعا الصبر والسلوان وحسن العزاء
