Yesterday, I was injured after being targeted by occupation aircraft with a missile fired at me and my colleague Ahmed Matar, the Al Jazeera cameraman. We had just finished a live broadcast with Al Jazeera in the vicinity where we were located. One of the young men in that area was martyred. I went out with a message on air. Due to the seriousness of the situation, Ahmed and I talked about leaving the place and agreed to leave the Mirage area towards the European Hospital. On our way to the hospital, we were targeted and the Israeli reconnaissance aircraft fired a missile at us, which led to my colleague Ahmed and me being injured. Praise be to God, and I hope for the best, with my wishes for my brother Ahmed’s safety. What I want to say today is that no matter how much the occupation commits crimes against journalists, killing, displacing and injuring them, the message of journalists in the Gaza Strip will continue until we deliver our message to the whole world that our Palestinian people are being slaughtered by the Israeli war machine.
