From Reza Khandan Mahabadi (husband of Mehrangiz):

Yesterday, July 1, we buried the wounded and lifeless body of Mehrangiz in the Ibn Babawayh Cemetery in Shahr-e Ray. She was killed in a war in which she had no role or benefit, and it is a fatal custom of our time that the killed and victims of the wars of governments over their material and ideological interests are generally innocent people. Mehrangiz was one of thousands whose tree of life, still green, still fresh, was burned by the fire of the war between two governments and burned the hearts of many. Mehrangiz was buried yesterday in her hometown, may the memory of her and the injustice done to her give strength to those who seek justice and fairness.

rezakhandan.m 4dدیروز، دهم تیر ماه، پیکر زخم‌خورده و بی‌جان مهرانگیز را در گورستان ابن‌بابویه شهرری به خاک سپردیم. او کشته‌ی جنگی شد که هیچ نقش و نفعی در آن نداشت و این رسم ناسور عصر ما است که کشتگان و قربانیان جنگ حکومت‌ها بر سر منافع مادی و ایدئولوریک‌شان، عموما مردم بی‌گناه هستند. مهرانگیز یک از هزارانی بود که درخت زندگیشان،هنوز سبز، هنوز شاداب، به آتش جنگ دو حکومت سوخت و دل‌های بسیاری را سوزاند. مهرانگیز دیروز در زادگاهش به خاک سپرده شد، باشد که یاد او و ستم رفته بر او به دادخواهان و عدالت‌جویان قوت بخشد.
