A barrage of about 25 missiles was launched into Israel earlier today (Friday) and caused widespread damage and casualties in several locations, including Haifa, Beersheba and Gush Dan. Rescue organizations reported a 51-year-old woman from Karmiel who went into cardiac arrest at the time of the alarm and was later pronounced dead. In Haifa – 23 people were injured, 3 of them in serious condition. One of the missiles launched at Beersheba carried a fragmentation munition – 26 small missiles that split from the warhead caused great damage and destruction within a radius of hundreds of meters.

At around 4:00 PM, reports were received at the Magen David Adom 101 emergency hotline about injuries as a result of a missile falling in the city area. Medical teams that were dispatched to the scene provided treatment and evacuated 23 injured people to hospitals, 3 of whom were seriously injured, a 16-year-old boy with shrapnel in his upper body and 2 men aged 54 and 40 with shrapnel injuries in their lower limbs and 20 in light condition.

Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav told Channel 12 at the scene of the fall in the city: "The war is more powerful, there are more powerful weapons, and the Iranians know how to aim. Strategic places are being hit, unfortunately."

Shlomi, an eyewitness who was near the scene of the fall in the city, told of the moment of impact: "We heard a kind of whistle and then a crazy boom. The whole earth shook. Everything started flying in the air – glass, sheets of paper, pieces of concrete. It was like an earthquake with fire."

Lior, a taxi driver who was also near the scene of the fall in Haifa, described: "I was in a car really close to the building, and suddenly everything was painted white. Dust, smoke, fire. I can't believe it got here."

סמוך לשעה 16:00 התקבלו דיווחים במוקד החירום 101 של מגן דוד אדום על פצועים כתוצאה מנפילת טיל במרחב העיר. צוותי רפואה שהוקפצו לזירה העניקו טיפול ופינו לבתי החולים 23 פצועים מתוכם 3 קשה, נער בן 16 עם רסיס בפלג גופו העליון ו-2 גברים בני 54 ו-40 עם פציעה מרסיס בגפיים התחתונות ו-20 במצב קל.

ראש עריית חיפה יונה יהב לחדשות 12 בזירת הנפילה בעיר: "המלחמה יותר עוצמתית, יש נשק יותר עוצמתי, והאיראנים יודעים לכוון. מקומות אסטרטגיים נפגעים לדאבוני".


שלומי, עד ראייה שהיה סמוך לזירת הנפילה בעיר סיפר על רגע הפגיעה: "שמענו מין שריקה כזאת ואז בום מטורף. כל האדמה רעדה. הכול התחיל לעוף באוויר – זכוכיות, דפים, חלקי בטון. זה היה כמו רעידת אדמה עם אש".
ליאור, נהג מונית שהיה גם הוא סמוך לזירת הנפילה בחיפה תיאר: "הייתי באוטו ממש קרוב לבניין, ופתאום הכול נצבע בלבן. אבק, עשן, אש. לא מאמין שזה הגיע לפה".
