Today, at around 16:00, reports were received at Magen David Adom’s 101 Emergency Dispatch Center about injuries resulting from a missile strike in northern Israel
Large numbers of Magen David Adom forces were immediately dispatched to the scene using ambulances, Mobile Intensive Care Units, and MDA responders on medicycles. They provided life-saving medical treatment and evacuated 23 injured individuals to hospitals—3 in serious condition, including a 16-year-old boy with shrapnel wounds to his upper body, and two men aged 54 and 40 with shrapnel injuries to their lower limbs. An additional 20 people were mildly injured.
During the siren, a 51-year-old woman collapsed in a shelter in Karmiel, suffered a heart attack, and despite intensive resuscitation efforts by MDA teams, was pronounced dead.
MDA Paramedic Ahmad Zidan said:"I was at home, and as soon as I received the alert from Home Front Command, I entered the protected space with my family. A few minutes later, we heard a very loud noise and felt a blast wave. When I exited the shelter, I saw that the windows in my house were shattered, and there was a lot of broken glass. I reported the incident to MDA’s 101 dispatch center and headed to the scene, which was only a few dozen meters from me, with the Mobile Intensive Care Unit I'm assigned to as an MDA first responder. I saw heavy smoke and massive destruction in the building near the parking area that was hit by the rocket. A teenage boy around 16 and a man in his 50s were walking nearby, both suffering from severe shrapnel and blast injuries. I began providing medical treatment, and when additional MDA forces arrived, I urgently evacuated the two seriously injured victims to the hospital."
MDA EMT Ariel Danilovsky said:"When I arrived at the street, I saw extensive damage to a building whose adjacent parking area was hit by the rocket, as well as damage to nearby buildings. Several injured people were in the street, conscious and suffering from bleeding shrapnel wounds and bodily injuries. Alongside other MDA teams, we provided them with medical care and evacuated them to hospitals. Large MDA forces remain at the scene and are working with rescue teams to ensure there are no further casualties and to provide medical care as needed."
*MDA Paramedic Assad Joe Haddad said:*"After receiving the report of the rocket impact, we responded with large forces, including ambulances, Mobile Intensive Care Units, and rapid response vehicles. We saw extensive destruction along the street where the rocket hit and in nearby streets. There was significant commotion. I joined MDA responders treating a 40-year-old man who was conscious but suffering from severe shrapnel and blast injuries. We quickly provided life-saving medical care and evacuated him in an MDA Mobile Intensive Care Unit to the hospital in serious condition."
