Journalist Mohammed Salama Killed in Airstrike on Deir al-Balah

Al-Aqsa TV and Radio presenter Mohammed Salama was killed on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, when Israeli warplanes bombed the house he had fled to in the city of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.


In the details, his colleague and director of the broadcasting department at Al-Aqsa Radio, Ahmed Zugbar, told a SKeyes correspondent: "Mohammed was displaced with his family from the al-Maghazi camp in central Gaza Strip after the occupation forces stormed it two months ago. He went to live with friends in the al-Hikr area of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip. However, Israeli warplanes targeted the house on Tuesday evening, leading to his martyrdom."

قُتِل المذيع في فضائية وإذاعة "الأقصى" الإعلامي محمد سلامة، يوم الثلثاء 5 آذار/مارس 2024، بقصف الطيران الحربي الإسرائيلي المنزل الذي نزح إليه في مدينة دير البلح وسط قطاع غزة.

 

وفي التفاصيل، قال زميله ومدير قسم المذيعين في إذاعة "الأقصى" أحمد زُغبر لمراسل "سكايز": "نزح محمد مع عائلته من مخيّم المغازي وسط قطاع غزة بعد اقتحام الاحتلال له منذ شهرين، وذهب ليسكن لدى أصدقائه في منطقة الحِكر في مدينة دير البلح وسط القطاع، لكن الطيران الحربي الإسرائيلي استهدف المنزل مساء الثلثاء ما أدّى إلى استشهاده".
