Homs province: Two members of the military engineering units were killed while attempting to dismantle an old landmine in Al-Sukhnah desert in eastern Homs countryside
The Syrian Observatory has documented the death of 60 combatants and explosive ordnance disposal specialists, who were killed while attempting to remove and dismantle old ordinance since early 2025, as well as the injury of 27 others, including two members of the civil defence; they are distributed regionally as follows:
Aleppo: 16 fatalities and eight injured people, including a militiaman of the “National Army” and three members of engineering teams
Homs: 12 fatalities, including a member of the “Free Syria Army.”
Hama: Six fatalities and four injured people.
Idlib: Nine fatalities.
Al-Raqqah: One fatality.
Deir Ezzor: Six fatalities and nine injured people, including a commander.
Rif Dimashq: Three fatalities.
Latakia: Four fatalities and two injured people, they are members of civil defence forces.
Al-Suwaidaa: Two members.
Tartus: Three injured persons they are members of “Liwaa Abu Bakr.”
