According to Tabnak, citing Mehr, the Boxing Federation wrote in an article about the boxer's martyrdom: Dr. Ali Bakuei, a nuclear scientist from Dodangeh, Sari, was martyred along with his wife and two children in the Israeli attacks on his home in the Narmak area of Tehran on Friday, June 13.
He was a boxing trainer and referee who, in the past year, participated in the Tehran Province's 3rd-degree refereeing courses under the supervision of Majid Abbaszadeh, the Tehran Province's 2nd-degree coaching course under the supervision of Professor Ansari, and in the Tehran Province's coaches' solidarity course exam held under the supervision of Fontana, the former Cuban head coach of the senior national team.

Majid Abbaszadeh, head of the Tehran Province Boxing Board, said about the moral qualities of martyr Bakuei Ketrimi: During the two years that I have been working as the head of the Tehran Province Boxing Board, I had the honor of getting to know the nuclear martyr Dr. Ali Bakuei, but I had no knowledge of his scientific status. I was truly shocked when I heard the news of his martyrdom; Because after his martyrdom, the big boxing family learned that Martyr Bakuei was a nuclear scientist. It is really hard for me to believe that this dear martyr lived with us in such an unknown position and worked quietly for the success of our country.
He continued, adding: He always attended all coaching and refereeing classes and was among the people who always passed the refereeing and coaching exams with the highest scores and was also very interested in boxing.
The head of the Tehran Provincial Boxing Board continued to point out: Martyr Bakuei had attended the Level 2 coaching theory exam before his martyrdom and had passed it and was supposed to participate in the practical class. He was constantly following the exam date, but unfortunately, the Zionists invaded our country and martyred him along with his family.
He concluded by saying: "Even before his martyrdom, martyr Bakui had sent a text message to the officials organizing the coaching exam classes to make sure he was informed of the exam time so that he would not miss the coaching class. He was so interested in boxing that he coached in northeast Tehran and had a number of students. Unfortunately, the occupying regime in Quds took such a great and scholarly figure from us."

به گزارش تابناک به نقل از مهر؛ فدراسیون بوکس در مطلبی پیرامون شهادت این بوکسور نوشته است: دکتر علی باکویی، دانشمند هسته‌ای اهل دودانگه ساری به همراه همسر و ۲ فرزندش در حملات اسرائیل، روز جمعه ۲۳ خرداد به منزل مسکونی‌اش در منطقه نارمک تهران به شهادت رسید.
وی از مربیان و داوران بوکس بود که در یک سال گذشته در دوره‌های داوری درجه ۳ استان تهران زیر نظر مجید عباس‌زاده، دوره مربیگری درجه‌ دو استان تهران زیر نظر استاد انصاری و در آزمون دوره همبستگی مربیان استان تهران که زیرنظر فونتانا، سرمربی کوبایی سابق تیم ملی بزرگسالان برگزار شد، حضور داشت.

مجید عباس‌زاده، رئیس هیئت بوکس استان تهران، در مورد خصوصیات اخلاقی شهید باکویی کتریمی، گفت: در طول دو سالی که به‌ عنوان رئیس هیئت بوکس استان تهران فعالیت می‌کنم، افتخار آشنایی با شهید هسته‌ای دکتر علی باکویی را داشتم، اما به‌ هیچ‌ عنوان از جایگاه علمی او اطلاع نداشتم. واقعاً وقتی خبر شهادت او را شنیدم شوکه شدم؛ چون پس از شهادت او خانواده بزرگ بوکس مطلع شدند که شهید باکویی دانشمند هسته‌ای است. واقعاً باورش برایم سخت است که این شهید عزیز با چنین جایگاهی گمنام در کنار ما زندگی می‌کرد و برای موفقیت کشورمان بدون سر و صدا تلاش می‌کرد.
وی در ادامه، افزود: همیشه در تمام کلاس‌های مربیگری و داوری حضور پیدا می‌کرد و جزو نفراتی بود که همیشه در آزمون‌های داوری و مربیگری با بالاترین نمرات قبول می‌شد و به‌شدت هم به بوکس علاقه‌مند بود.
رئیس هیئت بوکس استان تهران در ادامه خاطرنشان کرد: شهید باکویی پیش از شهادت در آزمون تئوری مربیگری درجه ۲ حضور پیدا کرده بود و قبول شده بود و برای کلاس عملی قرار بود شرکت کند. مدام هم پیگیر زمان برگزاری آزمون بود که متأسفانه صهیونیست‌ها با تجاوز به خاک کشورمان او را همراه با خانواده‌اش به شهادت رساندند.
وی در پایان خاطرنشان کرد: حتی شهید باکویی پیش از شهادت به مسئولان برگزاری کلاس‌های آزمون مربیگری پیامک داده بود که حتماً زمان برگزاری آزمون را مطلع شود تا از حضور در کلاس مربیگری جا نماند. او به‌قدری به بوکس علاقه داشت که در شمال شرق تهران مربیگری می‌کرد و تعدادی هم شاگرد داشت. متأسفانه رژیم اشغالگر قدس چنین شخصیت بزرگ و علمی را از ما گرفت.
