On 11–12 March, three commercial vessels were struck by unidentified projectiles in incidents across
the Arabian Gulf. Two laden tankers were struck while conducting ship-to-ship (STS) operations
approximately 5 nm south of Al Basrah, Iraq, while a laden container vessel was struck while
anchored approximately 35 nm north of Jebel Ali, UAE. Initial reporting indicates fires onboard the
affected vessels, with tanker crews evacuated
