Watan: The Israeli occupation army targeted journalists while they were working in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attack resulted in the injury of several journalists, including TRT Arabic cameraman Sami Shehadeh, who sustained moderate to serious injuries and had his leg amputated.

TRT Arabic correspondent Sami Barhoum also sustained minor injuries. He initially said, "A direct shell was fired at them, even though they were not in a closed space and the press signal was clear."

وأفاد شهود عيان بأن الاستهداف أدى إلى إصابة عدد من الصحفيين بينهم المصور قناة TRT عربي سامي شحادة بجراح وصفت بأنها بين المتوسطة والخطيرة، وبتر قدمه.

كما أصيب مراسل TRT عربي سامي برهوم بإصابات طفيفة، وقال في تصريح أولي "إن قذيفة مباشرة أطلقت عليهم رغم أنهم لم يكونوا في مكان مغلق وكانت إشارة الصحافة واضحة".
