Ziad was not just a Lebanese artist; he was the voice of a free conscience, the pulse of the street, and the irony of an intellectual unafraid of the truth.

I hope that his spirit will be immortalized in generations that believe that art has a role, words carry weight, and Lebanon has a free face resembling his.

رحل من قال الكلمة الصادقة حين خرس الجميع، من غنّى للحب كما غنّى للوجع، من كتب الموسيقى لتصبح مرآةً لشعبٍ بأكمله.

كأحد المعجبين العميقين بالثقافة اللبنانية، أرى في رحيله غياب رمزٍ قاوم القبح بالسخرية، والخوف بالشجاعة، والظلم بالكلمة.
زياد لم يكن مجرد فنان لبناني، بل كان صوت الضمير الحرّ، نبض الشارع، وسخرية المثقّف الذي لا يخشى الحقيقة.

أتمنى أن تُخلَّد روحه في أجيال تؤمن أن للفن دورًا، وللكلمة وزنًا، وللبنان وجهًا حرًا يشبهه.
