Arej Shaheen posted her latest story while on her way to photograph a wedding couple. A week ago, she celebrated her birthday (despite the oppression, loss, and displacement). Like everyone else, she wished for a year away from the horrors of genocide. A short while ago, she was martyred along with more than 30 other martyrs, bidding farewell to our unjust world that left them all to die, and before them, more than 45,000 martyrs.
