The international coalition against ISIS offered its condolences to the sons of martyr Mahmoud al-Halil al-Shammari, Ali and Alaa al-Shammari, on the death of their father. The coalition expressed its regret and apologized for its aircraft's participation in the raid that targeted the al-Halil family home in the village of Karahouk in the Hasakah countryside. It explained that its involvement was based on a report from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) indicating the presence of ISIS elements in the village.

The coalition confirmed that it had fallen into a trap due to a false report from the SDF and pledged to take the necessary measures against those involved in this act.

قدّم التحالف الدولي ضد داعش العزاء بوفاة الشهيد محمود الهليل الشمري لنجليه علي وعلاء الشمري ، وأعرب عن أسفه واعتذاره عن مشاركة طيرانه في المداهمة التي استهدفت منزل الهليل في قرية كرهوك بريف الحسكة ، موضحاً أن مشاركته جاءت بناءً على بلاغ من قوات قسد يفيد بوجود عناصر من تنظيم داعش في القرية.

وأكد التحالف أنه وقع في مصيدة نتيجة بلاغ كاذب من قسد، متعهداً باتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة بحق المتورطين في هذا الفعل .
