Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC):

- We condemn the killing of young photojournalist Arej Shaheen in an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp. This was preceded by the killing of photojournalist Omar al-Diraoui in the al-Zawayda area, and journalist Hassan al-Qishawi, who was killed on Thursday in a bombing of his home in Gaza City.

- The Israeli occupation begins the new year by killing a journalist every 24 hours in Gaza. The international community's failure to protect journalists undermines its credibility and undermines its efforts to promote human rights and international efforts to uphold these principles.

- We reiterate our call to the international community to take immediate action to stop these serious violations and bring their perpetrators to justice. We demand that the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court investigate these crimes and prosecute their perpetrators.

- ندين جريمة قتل المصورة الصحفية الشابة أريج شاهين في قصف للاحتلال على مخيم النصيرات، وقد سبقه قتل المصور الصحفي عمر الديراوي بمنطقة الزوايدة، والصحفي حسن القيشاوي الذي استشهد يوم الخميس إثر قصف على منزله بمدينة غزة.

- الاحتلال يفتتح العام الجديد بقتل صحفي كل 24 ساعة بغزة، وفشل المجتمع الدولي في حماية الصحفيين يضعف من مصداقيته ويقوض جهوده في تعزيز حقوق الإنسان والجهود الدولية الرامية إلى دعم هذه المبادئ.

- نجدد دعوة المجتمع الدولي إلى التحرك الفوري لوقف هذه الانتهاكات الخطيرة وتقديم مرتكبيها إلى العدالة، ونطالب المدعي العام للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية بالتحقيق في هذه الجرائم وملاحقة مرتكبيها
