Some Iranian media outlets reported the assassination of another “nuclear scientist” in last night’s Israeli attacks, writing that Mohammad Reza Seddiqi Saber was targeted in his father’s house in Gilan’s Asthan Ashrafiyeh. According to these reports, a few days ago, Israel targeted his house in Tehran, which resulted in the death of his son. Two months ago, the US Treasury Department announced that Mohammad Reza Seddiqi Saber had been sanctioned in connection with the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Some non-Iranian media outlets had also named him as a researcher of “sympathetic explosions.” The deputy governor of Gilan also confirmed the news of the attack on parts of the province today and announced that “four residential units were completely destroyed and a large number of surrounding houses were also damaged by the explosion.” According to this government official, nine people were killed and 33 others were injured in the attack, 28 of whom were treated as outpatients.

برخی رسانه‌های ایران از ترور یک «دانشمند هسته‌ای» دیگر در حملات دیشب اسرائیل خبر دادند و نوشتند محمدرضا صدیقی صابر در خانۀ پدری‌اش در آستانه اشرفیه گیلان هدف قرار گرفت.

براساس این گزارش‌ها، چند روز پیش اسرائیل خانۀ او در تهران را هدف گرفت که منجر به کشته شدن پسرش شده بود.

وزارت خزانه‌‌داری آمریکا دو ماه پیش با تحریم محمدرضا صدیقی صابر اعلام کرده بود او در ارتباط با گسترش سلاح‌های اتمی تحریم شده است.

برخی رسانه‌های غیرایرانی نیز از او به‌عنوان پژوهشگر «انفجارهای سمپاتیک» نام برده بودند.

معاون استاندار گیلان نیز امروز خبر حمله به نقاطی در این استان را تأیید و اعلام کرد «چهار واحد مسکونی به طور کامل تخریب شد و شمار زیادی از خانه‌های اطراف نیز بر اثر انفجار آسیب دید».

به‌گفتۀ این مقام دولتی، در این حمله ۹ نفر کشته و ۳۳ تن دیگر مجروح شدند که از این تعداد ۲۸ نفر به‌صورت سرپایی درمان شده‌اند.
