Details of a Serious Security Incident West of Rafah

An "unidentified" armed group, traveling in a vehicle, opened direct fire on a group of citizens while they were in a cafeteria opposite the Red Cross Hospital west of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

The attack resulted in the immediate death of two people, while a third person—whose identity has not yet been determined—was kidnapped from the scene before the armed group withdrew toward the Al-Alam area west of Rafah, where Israeli occupation forces are stationed.
