"Civilians not intentionally targeted"... The Israeli military announces an investigation into an airstrike on the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis that killed five journalists.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said the attack initially targeted the fourth floor of Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, and was quickly followed by a second strike after rescue teams arrived at the scene.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the operation, expressing regret for the civilian casualties, emphasizing that journalists were not among those targeted, and noting that measures were taken to minimize damage.

وقالت وزارة الصحة في غزة إن الهجوم استهدف في البداية الطابق الرابع من مستشفى ناصر في خان يونس، وتبع ذلك بسرعة ضربة ثانية بعد وصول فرق الإنقاذ إلى المكان.

وأكدت قوات الدفاع الإسرائيلية تنفيذ العملية، معربة عن أسفها للخسائر بين المدنيين، ومؤكدة أن الصحفيين لم يكونوا من بين المستهدفين، ومشيرة إلى أنه تم اتخاذ تدابير لتقليل الأضرار.
