Mahmoud Atwi, an employee of the Nabatieh al-Fawqa municipality, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted him while he was performing his municipal duties in the Ali al-Taher area.

Atwi was martyred while heading to the municipal well in the Ali al-Taher forest to restore water flow to residents' homes, after it had been cut off due to damage caused by Israeli strikes.

وقد استُشهد عطوي بينما كان متوجهًا إلى البئر التابع للبلدية في حرش علي الطاهر، بهدف إعادة ضخ المياه إلى منازل المواطنين، بعد انقطاعها نتيجة الأضرار التي خلفتها الضربات الإسرائيلية.
