Airwars assessment

Two to 12 civilians were killed, including two Palestinians, due to airstrikes on Douma, local media reported. Sources blamed both Russia and the Syrian regime for the raids.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights was the only source to report that “12 civilians from the same family, including six children and four women” were killed due to the joint Syrian regime and Russian alliance.

There was an unspecified number of wounded victims as a result of the shelling on the residential neighbourhood.

@Cabdi_salam_17 said a baby girl was recovered from the rubble.

Nineteen named civilians were killed and dozens more were wounded in a suspected chemical wepaon attack on Saqba, local media reported. Sources blamed the Russian and Syrian regime alliance.

@SiegeWatch, who published a video documenting the strike, tweeted that “Multiple chemical attacks reported, with a very strong chlorine smell.”

Sources reported that dozens of wounded were trapped under the rubble in the aftermath of the raid.

Two children, five women and two members of Civil Defence were killed in the raids on the residential neighbourhood.

Between seven and ten civilians were killed in airstrikes on the residential neighbourhood of Kafar Batna, local media reported. Sources were contested as to which belligerent was to blame, with some blaming Russia while others blamed the Syrian regime.

Barrel bombs were dropped onto the vicinity in conjunction with heavy shelling, according to @SiegeWatch.

Sources reported that dozens were wounded, with one source putting the toll as high as 30.

Violations Documentation Centre published a list of ten unidentified adult male civilians.

According to @Dmcpress_ar, “warplanes with rockets carrying cluster bombs struck the residential neighbourhood in the city of Arbeen”.

The Violations Documentation Centre, who blamed “Syrian government and affiliated militias” named four adult male civilians as killed.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights reported “at least four civilians killed as Syrian/Russian warplanes fired missiles on Arbeen city”.

Three named adult males – members of the White Helmets – were killed and five others were wounded when an airstrike hit a Syrian Civil Defence ambulance in either Al Ghouta or Al Sharqiya, Eastern Ghouta, local media reported. Sources blamed both Russia and the Syrian regime for the raid.

There is some confusion from sources as to where the strikes occurred, with the Syrian Network for Human Rights locating the strikes in Saqba while the Violations Documentation Centre said they occurredin Misraba.

Sources such as the White Helmets reported that a “Russian airstrike directly targeted an ambulance for volunteers in the “Centre 114″, which led to the death of volunteers and wounding five others.”

The Smart News Agency reported: “The civil defense said that one of its volunteers was killed by wounds sustained by a Russian bomb Wednesday, targeting an ambulance carrying members of the civil defense, killing two of them and wounding five others.”

Most sources blamed a Russian airstrike, however, the Syrian Network for Human Rights, who named the victims pointed to “Syrian/Russian warplanes”.

Three raids directly struck the town, with media reporting that both Russian RPG’s and explosive barrel bombs were used on the vicinity.

Jisr Media Centre reported “four civilian casualties after two strikes on # Kafar Yadinand # Ghassaniya and throwing explosive barrels at the  Al Najiya and Al Kinda  in the western village of Jisr al-Shughour.”
