The Syrian Civil Defense said that one person was killed and four others, all of whom were unidentified, were injured on Tuesday morning, June 10, in a missile attack carried out by a drone north of Idlib. This is the second time that day. The Civil Defense explained in a statement that the drone targeted a car carrying two people (the dead person and one of the injured), while the other two injured were near a shop and a bus stop on the road to Al-Karama Camps in the city of Atmeh, north of Idlib. It added that civilians removed the body of the dead person and treated the injured before the arrival of Civil Defense teams who worked to inspect and secure the scene. This is the second attack on the same day, as an unidentified person was killed in a similar missile attack that targeted the motorcycle he was riding on the Sarmada-Al-Bardaqali road north of Idlib, about an hour before the first attack. Northwestern Syria occasionally witnesses similar targeting operations carried out by drones, believed to belong to the international coalition or a regional party, and often focuses on movements suspected of being linked to armed groups. On February 22, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the assassination of a leader of the Guardians of Religion organization in an airstrike targeting his location in the city of Al-Dana in the northern Idlib countryside.

قال الدفاع المدني السوري، إن شخصًا قتل وأصيب أربعة آخرون جميعهم مجهولو الهوية، صباح اليوم الثلاثاء 10 حزيران، جراء هجوم صاروخي نفذته طائرة مسيّرة شمال إدلب، للمرة الثانية اليوم.

وأوضح الدفاع المدني في بيان أن الطائرة المسيرة استهدفت سيارة كان فيها شخصان (القتيل وأحد المصابين)، بينما كان المصابان الآخران بالقرب من محل تجاري وموقف حافلة ركاب على طريق مخيمات الكرامة في مدينة أطمة شمالي إدلب.

وأضاف أن المدنيين نقلوا جثة القتيل وأسعفوا المصابين قبل وصول فرق الدفاع المدني التي عملت على تفقد وتأمين مكان الحادث.

ويُعد هذا الهجوم الثاني خلال نفس اليوم، حيث قُتل شخص مجهول الهوية بهجوم صاروخي مماثل استهدف دراجة نارية كان يستقلها على طريق سرمدا - البردقلي شمالي إدلب، وذلك قبل نحو ساعة من الهجوم الأول.

وتشهد مناطق شمال غرب سوريا، بين الحين والآخر، عمليات استهداف مماثلة تنفذها طائرات مسيّرة، يُعتقد أنها تابعة للتحالف الدولي أو لطرف إقليمي، وتتركز غالبا على تحركات يُشتبه بارتباطها بجماعات مسلحة.

وفي 22 شباط الفائت، أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأميركية (سنتكوم) اغتيال قيادي في تنظيم "حراس الدين"، بضربة جوية استهدفت مكان وجوده في مدينة الدانا بريف إدلب الشمالي.
