At dawn on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023, an alleged Israeli airstrike hit the Abu Hassanein’s family residence on Abu Hosni Street in Deir Al Balah, central Gaza Strip, reportedly killing at least one civilian and causing a number of injuries.
Social media accounts including Twitter/X user @shaabradio and Maher al hijazi on Facebook reported that the remains of a decapitated girl were found amidst the rubble, in addition to “injuries” while Al Jazeera Palestine mentioned “martyrs” being recovered from the rubble.
Additionally, @ShehabAgency, Alarabiya Palestine, Palestine VoiceRradio and Al Jazeera Palestine shared images illustrating citizens’ efforts to “inspect the home of the Abu Hassanein’s family” and recover the bodies of the victims, underscoring the widespread devastation caused by the bombardment. No further details regarding the identity of the victims or their current conditions were available. It is believed all were transported to the Indonesian hospital.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strikes to Israeli forces.
