Last Updated: December 15, 2024

On the night of Monday, October 30th, 2023, an alleged Israeli airstrike destroyed the house of Shawqi al-Raqab in the Bani Suhaila municipality of Khan Younis, Gaza Strip, marking the second reported attack on the house that night. The incident was reported by numerous sources, all of which mentioned civilian “injuries” without specifying the number of victims.

Though Facebook user “Mad.batista” specified that the injuries were minor, the exact characteristics are unknown. Twitter/X user @ShehabAgency initially reported the alleged bombing. Posts on several social media accounts emphasised that the house, next to the Bani Suhaila Cultural Center, was “completely demolished.” The first strike apparently happened the previous night; ambulances were called to the scene following the second strike and ferried “ a number of casualties” to treatment.

Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strikes to Israeli forces.
