A young man was injured by shrapnel that fell in the vicinity of Abu Helu school in Bureij Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip on the 15th of July 2024.

The young man was inside the school when an alleged shell fell in the yard and injured him. According to Mohamed Awad, he was then transferred to Al Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, where he received treatment.

According to Facebook users Hazem Mazyad and Boumedienne Naado, the strike was aimed at hitting Abu Madin Mosque. However, this information was not corroborated by other sources.

At the time of the report, the strike was not attributed to a specific belligerent by any of the sources. Therefore, Airwars graded both strike status and civilian harm status as contested until more information comes to light.
