On the morning of November 5, 2023, at approximately 10am, one patient in the intensive care unit of al-Quds Hospital was injured by heavy artillery shelling, airstrikes, and explosions allegedly deployed by the Israeli military.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) first reported the news at 10:30 AM, reporting that al-Qud Hospital, the refuge of more 14,000 civilians, had been rocked by the intensity of the bombing taking place in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, resulting in the injury of one patient and “a number of displaced people.” Other local sources mentioned only one injury, specifically mentioning the injury to the patient in intensive care.

Later reports by Safa News Agency and ShehabAgency revealed images of the destruction at the hospital, with its windows cracked and its floor littered with shards of glass from shattered partitions in the building as patients lay in their beds. Ambulance crews stationed at the hospital were also unable to leave to attend to cases elsewhere, blocked in by the bombing.
